He is highly fastidious and well groomed, though this is less a matter of pride than it is a symptom of his compulsive cleanliness and desire to keep things orderly.

However, as a non-aelf, he was denied the right to partake in the rigorous year-long Symposia Medicus which would have led to his official recognition as a doctor. He has all of the practical talent and skills of a physician, however, and though he shies away from directly referring to himself as such, he rarely corrects anyone who calls him 'Dr. Vandrake.'
